After a great time in Darwin, we packed up this morning and drove to Katherine. On the way, we stopped at Adelaide River War Cemetery which was set up in world war 2. There were so many young men buried here. After we set up in Katherine we went for a swim at the Katherine Hot Springs. Dad and I had a turn on the rope swing which was great fun. The pools were so warm. Four crocodiles have been pulled from the Katherine River in the last two months-all over 4m long! We had chicken wraps for dinner and played UNO.

Vicki Gallen Looks such a beautiful swimming place, pretty sure I would rather be up there than in the cold down here. You are not missing winter at all. Just not sure about being so close to crocs!
dorothy tanner Hi Jack, I will have to take a trip to Darwin, well it would be GREAT to follow your journey!! Yes, war/fighting is not a good thing, perhaps one of these days we will find PEACE amongst one another, there is always HOPE Jack. What fun on the “rope swing”, those pools being so warm, certainly makes jumping in a lot more fun. Do keep your “eyes open” for those crocodiles in the Katherine River, whilst enjoying the environment. Love to ALL Dorothy & little Roy XXOO
