We arrived late in Darwin on Thursday afternoon. The caravan park has three pools, a jumping pillow, restaurant and lots lots more! Firstly we went in one of the pools. It was cold but refreshing. Then we went and caught up on our groceries. The next day we did heaps of washing. But we spent most of the day by the big pool. Around the pool is a bar, restaurant and fountain. On saturday it was back to the tour. Firstly we went to Parup markets where we had a smoothie-it was the best! Then we went to parliament house. We had a long tour. There has been only one lady chief minister. The current minister is Paul Henderson and there is an election in August. Thirdly, we went to the world war 2 underground tunnels. They were really long but cool. There were one hundred photos on the walls. After that, we went to NT museum and art gallery. We learnt about cyclone Tracey and went into a sound room to experience the real sounds of the cyclone. I felt very scared. The cyclone happened on Christmas eve in 1974. We found a shady spot overlooking Darwin harbour to eat our sandwiches. We then popped in to see the old Qantas hanger on our way to the Darwin wharf. We had an icecream there and then we went to the fish markets to get some prawns for dinner. It was a busy day! We are excited about going to the wave pool tomorrow.
