Hi everybody!
We just arrived in Honiara in the Solomons. It's totally baking here and very humid with about 30-35 degrees. Finally met up with Nick&Sophie at the yacht club and now we're settled in in the 50 foot Yacht which we will call home the next 3,5 months. Peter, a Briton, is also with us and we will meet up with the final crew member in the Louisades all the way sout-east in Papua New Guinea.
Fiji was super-duper and we both decided we're going back there some day. We've never met such nice and friendly people and it was a totally relaxing atmospere there, which we loved.
The plan now is to leave Honiara, which is sort of a dodgy town, the dayt after tomorrow.Christ, I've actually forgotten which week-day it is!Hahaha!
We'll probably spend two or three weeks sailing up to Gizo, which is the northern part of the Solomon Islands, before we head off to PNG and then Australia. We'll probably bee in Oz sometime late October, so I'll bet we're prette ready for some civilizatipon again then:-)
Got not much more to tell now, other than the fact that we're not uploading any pictures as the internet speed here is anno 1995 and hence it took me 3 minutes to load this page. It's probably not going to get any better until we arrive in Oz, so you'll all have to hang in there until then...
Best warm and pacific-y wishes
Ole Gudbrann and Eirik:-)
