FW Travels
We got settled in our first spot, have to move in 4 days, I must say they are getting busy here and the place is starting to look good, they have mowed the lawns and removed all the rocks that seem to wind up under my tires.
Christi and Markums' house is just about a mile away up the hill and overlooks the city of Cheyenne, The weather is unstable which I'll come to find out is the norm for this part of the country, however right now we have severe Thunderstorm warnings. This doesn't seem to bother anyone as we all were BBQing (sp) during one of the downpours. for the next couple of days we played with Quentin and Myles, did some shopping, I did a couple of repairs to the coach and BBQ'd in the evening.
Time to move at the RV resort, so Quentin helped preparing for the move to the next spot which went fairly well, it has water and electrical but no sewer, so we are being careful with the waste water as I don't want to have to move to dump a load.
I have not had much communication with work except for a known item I would have to deal with other than that I guess it's going OK, I'm surprised, I really don't miss or worry about it which has probably helped being relaxed.
We visited CrossFit Cheyenne, and I must say it is a nice Gym, if I were up to it that is where I would Train, seems to be a lot of energy there.
Frontier Days is in progress, It is a huge event this time of the year, 10 day Rodeo, parades, concerts and related western events. Connie and I went to the Train Station Museum and arrived in time for one of the parades, quite impressive display of old johnny popper or Popping Jonnies ( hit and miss engine) farm tractors. The museum is quite impressive as the early construction of the rail road is well documented with hundreds of old photos and artifacts of the era.
After the depot we had lunch at the Albany Bar across the street from the Depot on the corner, The food and service was excellent, We had the Prime Rib sandwich which was the special for the day.
After lunch we walked it off and went to a huge Western store, Connie bought a pair of Boots and I bought a new western shirt.
We went to the Rodeo, it was the final day of Bull Riding and what a show, Christi had Tickets down by the action so Markum and I took those, Connie and Christi took the boys to the stands, seating was marginal by the action but they had plenty of beer and it was cold. the sound system was just above us looked like 10'x 10" speakers, I didn't need a hearing aid for this event,
The area before you entered the Rodeo carnival area had dozens of western stores, rides and games for the kids and quit a Chuck Wagon display, wish we had more time I would of liked to tour the chuck wagons as they were cooking up what smelled like great food, I'm guessing it was a competition.
