Waking up this morning and I still feel really sick :( not good but I am determined to go to the tunnels. I went to breakfast and had a piece of bread before jumping on the bus. It was an hour and a half to the tunnels and I think I slept most of it. We got there and I was dying, so hot and feeling not so good! I did try and listen though!
The tunnels were used by the local people to live in drying the day and then at night they would come out to use the bathroom. They also made traps to trap the soldiers and kill them when they came to help their friend. They also adapted the tunnels every time the soldiers thought of something new. They gassed them, they changed the tunnels so gas would only be in part of it. The tunnels were small so the soldiers wouldn't fit and they all had escape routes. They also were able to hide the dirt used to build them by filling the bomb craters, pretty cool.
In between dying and the tunnels we were able to shoot a gun! So I went halves and got 5 bullets to shoot! I was quite scared at first but I had the man to help me. I stood and squeezed, pretty cool actually :) then it was time to get into the tunnel that was widened for tourists. It was still quite small and dark so I got out at the halfway point. Then it was time for the bus and more time for me to sleep.
After getting back to the hotel some of decided to get Burger King for lunch. I was dying so this sounded good to me. It was amazing eating food from home but it didn't help me with being sick.
The afternoon I spent in a chair at the hotel trying to feel better and drink water. At 7pm the group headed off to get the train. There was four of us left who got in a taxi towards the airport. As I have an early flight I booked a hotel near the airport. We got the taxi there, dropped off the bags and went for dinner. Of course we found kfc so we had kfc for dinner. I got chips and potato and gravy to try feel better! After dinner we said our goodbyes and I went to sleep knowing that I get to see Ryan in the morning :) I hope I feel better for him!
