Our last day in San Francisco ended on a real high with tour around the city's movie locations followed by lunch in the beautiful town of Sausalito across the Golden Gate Bridge.
The San Francisco Movie Tour is a great way of seeing the city from a Hollywood perspective and it goes without saying that it provides lots of fantastic photo opportunities.
From The Graduate in the 60s, the Dirty Harry movies of the 70s right through to more modern classics like Mrs Doubtfire, San Francisco has been the backdrop for these blockbusters.
Our guide took us around streets where the famous car chase in Bullitt was shot and around the more affluent areas of the city. Movie producer Chris Columbus lives here and spared no expense decking his house out to a Hollywood standard for Halloween (see pix).
After the tour we picked up our hire car and headed across the bay to Sausalito for lunch at the Spinnaker restaurant. The food is as good as the view back across to the city and has proved to be one of the real stand out moments of the tour so far.
Tomorrow we head for the coast along the stunning Highway One and Carmel. Dinner is at Clint Eastwood's pub The Hog's Breath.
"Do I feel lucky, punk? Will I have five drinks or six?"
Enough movie cliches for now. Back tomorrow.
