Just arrived Singapore after a good flight from Frankfurt (but a rather boring 5 hours transfer in Frankfurt Airport). Almost a disastrous start to the trip yesterday when, on route to London City Airport, I got on the wrong DLR train at Canning Town, and didn't realise my mistake for 5 stops. Just as well the DLR is a very frequent service and I had built in plenty spare time in my schedule.

Early Friday morning I got a text from my cousin Anne (see www.offexploring.com/campionscapers ) to say she had just arrived in Darwin. Relieved to hear this as they have narrowly avoided two tsunamis recently.

My revised plan is now to stay here for 2 days then off to Perth for 2 days, then Darwin till 9 Nov then back to Perth till end of Nov.
