Day 2 50.7 Miles
The weather has been very good to us. Another sunny day as we made our way along the coast over Whidbey Island across on the ferry to Port Townsend. We stopped in Libby to visit Mary Anne's cousin Joy. She has a delightful home. Oops, I forgot to take pictures but Mary has a few so I will share those.
The day was a bit more difficult than yesterday with more and several very steep hills. Once again we managed to pedal up most of them with only one getting the best of us. Oh well, my bum
needed a break from the bike anyway said I as I trudged up the hill.
We remembered to stop for groceries in Port Townsend before riding the next few miles to our camping spot for the night. Dinner was much improved from
last night, pasta salads from the deli, fresh carrots and avocado to munch on and fresh blueberries for dessert. And a hot cup of tea! Lovely! Once again I am siting outside the women's washroom as my Garmin recharges by the sink, once again the only outlet in the campground. This could get tiresome.
This evening we were treated to an outdoor concert. Not that we actually went but the sound carried very well through the campground. I was grateful that it was pleasant rock music they were playing and I fell asleep to the sounds of good ole rock and roll!
