We arrived in Thailand at 6pm local time after our 2 flights from Manchester to Abu Dhabi then Abu Dhabi to Bangkok. We had booked the Rembrant hotel for 4 nights and were upgraded on arrival from the standard room to a superior. We unpacked a few bits and set off to explore the local area. We decided to eat a meal at Rendezvous restaurant opposite out hotel. I ordered sweet and sour chicken, which was incredible and my boyfriend got chicken with cashew nuts. The food was so flavoursome and the bill only came to 360 Thai baht!! ( around £7.80)
After the meal we went to explore and found what we are calling the 'red zone' as its a street lined with bars full of lady boys and shows. We got seriously drunk in 'country bar' before getting a tuk tuk ride to Koh San road. The tuk tuk ride was so fun I have never been on something like that. We made our way down Koh San road and went in a few bars, aswell as getting some souvenirs along the way.
