We woke today to a crystal clear blue sky and a fantastic view of Mont Blanc. Jonathan was itching to get back up the gondola to the top but with little time to spare and the horrendous cost, we weren't about to day it twice in a row!
Instead we had a leisurely coffee in the main pedestrian mall enjoying the vista while Sophie hit the shops. She discovered that today is the first day of les solders (sales) in France! One pair of shoes and a lovely butterfly necklace and earrings from Swarovsky (she has good taste!) it was time to hit the road. Brodie also managed to do a bit of shopping with a new pair of ski goggles, he is so like his father!
Our trip was just over 600km but with the motorway we made great progress and managed to be in Paris by 4.30pm. Jonathan did a fantastic job getting through the Parisian traffic so we could drop our luggage off at the apartment and then onto Gare Montparnasse to drop the car off for our designated 5.30pm time. A short walk home and we had a brief chill out time before taking Our friend Sophie out to a local restaurant.
Tomorrow is our last day to enjoy Paris, in particular Montmartre and to pack everything up. We'll need to leave the apartment at 7am on Friday to get to the airport for our flight home.
