So its been another amazing week. I am currently sweating my nuts off due to the combination of too many beers last night and the fact its about 30degrees today! Right Im going to try to remember what I got up to since I wrote my last email so here goes.
Jan 2nd
This was the first full day that Amy had actually spent out of the hospital so we decided what she needed was to go for a spin on the back of my scooter around the island. Of course I gave her the helmet, just incase, cus we didnt want her ending up back in the hospital again. We spent the day chilling out at the Nice Sea resort, which we chose specifically because it had no rocks in the sea (although it did have this weird squelchy stuff on the bottom). That evening we decided to check out some Thai boxing at the 'stadium' ....if you can call it that. It was basically some a muddy pit with a ring in the middle, surrounded by tarpauling so nobody could see in. The first fight was between 2 children! They were literally about 8years old. At one point one of them couldnt stand up on his own but his coach wouldnt let him stop. It was a bit grim but pretty entertaining at the same time. The rest of the fights were adults luckily, but they were all Europeans against Thai people so it was basically an adult beating up a child because of the height difference, which was also amazing. After that we took the manditory pickup truck back to the hotel which was fun with amys crutches.

This day me, Clara and Rosie did a little adventure trip thing (Amy couldnt come because of her foot). We started the day by going on an Elephant trek. One of the best ways to start the day. It was pretty immense. After that we saw a crocodile show which basically consisted of a bloke doing mental things to crocs. He was a complete nutter. Seriously who in their right mind would put their head in a crocs mouth!? From there we went to a chinese temple which was a bit naff to be honest, although we did get to hit a big gong. We then went for a little swim at the bottom of a waterfall. Apparently it was the swimming pool of the king or some bulls*** like that. But how a king got up there I dont know. It was like a mountain trek to get there but i guess it was worth it when we finally made it. We ended the day with a snorkelling trip which was s***. We went all the way out there and saw no fish at all and nobody could stay in the water cus it was full of jellyfish stingers which hurt like hell! That night we went to the night food market again which was amazing. I ate so much it hurt.

We left Koh Phangan for Koh Tao. When we got there we spent the day exploring the town and chilling in a bar, which in the evening becam awesome. They put on this fire show which would definalty would NOT be alowed in England. It was mental. Amy amost had her hair burned off (which i have a video of :D) After that near death experience we went to our 'accomadation' which was pretty much a shed. It had fly screens on the windows but that didnt stop them getting in and biting the hell out of all of us! Luckily we were only there for 2 nights.

We (me, clara and rosie - amys foot was still stiched) started our scuba lessons. Naturally we were all pros and mastered it instantly. Our instructor was French Canadian and sounded exactly like the scuba guy from Along Came Polly. It was funny as. We saw loads of fish and at one point were swimming through a school of about 1000 barracuda which was a bit of fun. On the 3rd day we got our scuba licences and can now do it anywhere in the world. So we decided to celebrate by getting a Thai Massage which was not pleasent. I dont understand how some people like getting the s*** beat out of them by a Thai lady about half there size and PAYING FOR IT! After that Clara decided that she fancied getting a tattoo on her foot...as you do. As it was our last night on Koh Tao we decided to go to the thing that had been scaring us all week: the Ladyboy Caberet. It was chuffing hilerious. Those ladyboys properally go for it and some of them look so much like ladys it is scary.
So today (the 10th) we are all nursing hangovers passing the time before our night boat later. Were heading off to Krabi next and from there Koh Phi Phi (which is where the beach is filmed)
