Tom found a lovely cafe for breakfast when he went for a run this morning, I did my Oz Style aerobics in the comfort of our hotel room! After brekkie with one bag between us we hit the road on our Honda 100cc. It was a beautiful ride once out of the city, Tad Lo was the highlight. There were no sign posts so sfter a little guess work and all the local kids pointing the way we parked the bike and were led by two of the boys through the stream, plantation and undergrowth to the falls. On e of them was a bit of a showman and kept jumping off the rocks into the pool below. We kept trucking onto Ban Beng and hit the dirt road all the way to Paxong, our bike did us proud and even when the dirt seemed to turn to oil when wet or a car had gone past so we couldn't see for all the dust we made it through. On the way to Paxong it started getting really cold so as there really wasn't much going on in Paxong we decided to keep going to Pakse. The people along the way were lovely, the kids as enthusiastic as ever to see us tourists and it was good to see the real rural living and to eat a traditional '(hairy)chicken noodle soup'. Steak and cordon bleau had to be had at the roof top restaurant overlooking Pakse at sunset.

An inbetweeny day, pastries for breakfast then killing time til the bus at 8pm. Found a road side watch mender in the middle of a fun fair which had been set up where the markets usually are and also got all our travel photos so far backed up onto a DVD. 'American guy' from Don Det is on the same bus as us too he's been chilling out in the hills nearby for the last few days. It's the best sleeper bus yet, it's like we've got our own little cabin, not sure I'd be so happy if I didn't know who I was sitting/lying next to, bit snug. The guys on the coach brought round a rice and meat supper as well as water and sweeta for pud, best service yet.
