San Ramon, Costa Rica
Week two of teaching down and I'm still absolutely loving it! I'm slowly getting used to the early starts and the crazy amount of energy kids have but I'm really enjoying getting to know both the kids at my primary school and all the students in my adult classes.
School starts really early here, the primary school I'm at begins at 7.00 eac…
ewright9 Hi Jean, hope everything is well with you :)
re: Curridabat, Costa Ricaewright9 Hi daddy, yup the photos are of the block the house I'm staying in is on, it's a bit difficult to take many photos as it isn't particularly safe having cameras or iPhones out on the streets here. Spanish is slowly improving but it's a lot harder than I thought it would be! It's pretty humid here so you'll definitely get some heat in Peru!! Hi to nan for me, love u, Ruby.
re: Curridabat, Costa RicaBilly Hi Darling What an awesome thing to do. I can't believe Chris knows what a Costa Rican football team looks like. Are the photos posted of where you are staying. Tried to viber you this morning but problems with how it is set up. Also tried to skype you but no able to also. Took nannie to see ron yesterday she was shocked but he is alot better than he has been. Moved to the departure lounge now so it wont be long till he is back in Karaka. Conference finished yesterday, now hopefully some work will eventuate. Everyone i tell about your travels is not just jealous but sincerely impressed with your commitment to help and improve you Spanish. It had better be good in 66 sleeps as you know you are chief interpreter negotiator. Its bloody cold here so am really looking forward to some heat. Love Dad
re: Curridabat, Costa RicaJean McVerry Hi from jean
re: Curridabat, Costa RicaMegan Really? Why would they need to copy and paste. Two guys who have nothing better to do than to find totally random soccer events and send them to you. And you know these guys? However, I think in this case Paddy's name may have been used 'in absentia'?
re: Curridabat, Costa Ricaewright9 Hmmm, with the amount it rains here there's no need for a pool!!
re: photo fromewright9 Paddy please tell me you and scud copied and pasted this from somewhere... I have no clue who ur talking about!!
re: Curridabat, Costa RicaJaime Yay blogs! How do I follow it automatically? It's so exciting thinking wer on totally opp side of the world having crazy experiences :) keep them coming!
re: Curridabat, Costa RicaMegan OMG - Poor Ellie . What sort of ex flatmates do you have? Or more to the question, who do you think may have really written this???? He must be BORED without you!
re: Curridabat, Costa RicaPaddy Boyd i have been following with interest the local Costa Rican football league and was ecstatic when my boys Perez Zeledon managed to get over the line agiain this season!! I thought Argentine import Hector Sanabria was a particular sandout and showed what good recruitment can do for a club! being right in close to the action how have you judged the reaction of the locals? Obviously Perez were widely touted at the beginning of the season but with a few hiccups along the way they must have been delighted as i was to see them come out on top? Also was wondering if you had picked up any thoughts on the status of their iconic manager Carlos Restrepo? I have heard rumours he may be off contract in a few months and apparently rival club Santos are sniffing around? Obviously losing a quality manager such as him would seriously affect the club moving into next season? Any insights would be much appreciatd as i am looking to finalise my Costa Rican fantasy football team over the next few weeks and being so far away often miss out on much of 'word on the street' type info really needed. Look forward to hearing from you - Paddy Boyd
