I get up early because I want to go to the bus station and see about getting a ticket to Chumphon and then to Koh Tao. Bo is going to see the temples before her flight at 6. We leave our bags downstairs and check out. I grab a coffee and then get a taxi to the south bus station where I am able to get my ticket for tonight at 10. Perfect. So it is back to Bangkok to relax for the day.

I go and book my diving in the travel agents that I was at before. Sorted, I can start tomorrow. I'm not sure what to expect from this diving, but I can't wait to get started! With all the boring bits out of the way, I take myself to a coffee shop to relax. I check out the south of Thailand to see where I'll go after Koh Tao. To be honest this visa thing has been a real pain and it's all my own fault. I should have applied in advance then I wouldn't have had any trouble. Awww well, live and learn. I don't get to see Bo before she leaves as we missed each other in the hotel, but I txt here to wish her good luck. That just left me to enjoy a last dinner in Bangkok before getting ready to go. I stay clear of Koh San Road, being down it last night, I really wasn't feeling it. When I was first here it was fine, but I think having explored a bit more of Thailand now, it really has lost any appeal that it had. I get some dinner and listen to some live music before it is time for me to get my stuff and head to the bus station.

I arrive in good time and am only waiting for about 10mins before I can get on the bus, so not too bad. Again the bus is comfortable and the chair reclines a fair bit so sleeping will be on the cards. I get a carton of juice and some custard filled bun thing which I save for later. They have a tv on the bus and for the first hour or two they are blaring some terrible thai gameshow through the speakers, oh it is so bad. I get the headphones in and I'm able to melt away with something more pleasant in my ears. Once the tv is off I take off the headphones and go for a sleep. Rather unbelievably this is the first bus that gets me to my destination ahead of time, it is also the only bus that I did not want to be early. At 4am I am woken from my slumber and dumped outside a travel agents, where I am to wait for my pick up to the pier. Great!
