We woke early, had breakfast in the hotel and went upstairs for the massage. It helped my whole body this time and she retakes my back. I dressed and we left for the airport where we met up with Patrick and Lindsey- flew to Venice and tried to get a rental car. Europcar: the first car (actually a van for 6 that we don't need since we are 4) ( a Fiat Scudo. Ever hear of it? Neither had we). It was traded for a smaller car - turned out to be a Fiat 500 okay for 4 but not our luggage. The 3rd car we were given didn't have snow chains which would mean a hefty fine if we were stopped by local gendarmes - and the Fourth? Don't remember it .. The fifth- ahh... Works nice. We found our way to Verona and were met by Alice, who said she had a surprise for us . And what a surprise!! Dinner!!! Alice took us to her sisters' home where two sisters, their husbands, a brother, and three kids were waiting for us with a full Italian meal, home made prosecco (!) and we left hours later with a new family. The next day we found out we had opened 9 bottles of prosecco that meal ... Wow. I fell in love with the dog GiGi and wanted to take him home so they stuck a ribbon on him and said bye bye Gigi! They took us on a tour of their house and wine cellar. After driving to Chiara and Fabio's house, we found our Jammie's and fell asleep.
