Eyebrows - I desperately needed to get my eyebrows dyed so the concierge made an appointment for me - and the 5 minute walk turned into a 45 minute cab ride while we were trying to find the place. But once we were done it wasn't far to return to "our neighborhood " . On the way we saw other interesting buildings, and a cute truck. Lunch - we once again walked into the "red light district" for an interesting place to eat. Joey had a n excellent BLT and I had a chicken skewers with peanut sauce - also good! Best was talking with our waiter who told us he thought that growing up in the permissive atmosphere of Amsterdam might not be the best - especially for school children waking to class past the prostitutes and pot shops. Packing - readied the bags for the flight to Venice and in preparation for my massage - I had pulled a muscle and over the last couple of weeks it had become worse. She worked only on my back for an hour and tapes me; she said she would come back in the morning. And since it stopped raining we took the canal cruise listed as the Lovers canal cruise, Light Show. The Light Show's theme was friendship- in Europe and around the world. The pix didn't come out on my iPhone but Joey's camera picked up the lights well. Dinner after the cruise was an interesting Surinamese Chinese restaurant that had good wonton soup and okay noodles and good chicken on top for me. Joey's fried rice was good but I did try the sweet and sour chicken.
