Hey all,
Sorry for the delay on this blog. But Paris, wow what can you really say other than it was AMAZING!!! The weather was horrible, raining every single day expect the first and the last. But we still made the best of our trip there. We stayed with Soazq first, which was a blast. She lived very close to Sacre couer, which was our first stop! Its huge, we walked up all the steps to get there, and when we did there was a mass, so it was really amazing to see. Soazq had a dinner party at her house that night, and we met 6 of her friends. They were all really great, and could speak enligh very well. This was Ryans first time with French wine, and he loves it now. Thank goodness! The next day we went to see the Notre Dame, and find a few places here and there. This was the day we tried our first Crepe. OMG these are so good. We had a nutella filled one for 3 Euros. Imagine the best tasting chocolate hazlenut paste in a great little thin sweet pancake. lol Its that. So great.
On the first Sunday of the month Museums are free in Paris, so we went to the Orssay and the Louvre that day. Ugh was that tiring, but beautiful. The most amazing things are in these museums, paintings and statues. It was really great. I loved the statues best. But the art work was outstanding too, some as big a a 50X30 foots wall. NO JOKE!!! They were huge. The Orsay had some intereting pieces in it, as u can see from the photo album. But they were really cool too, we saw the floor scarpers, dad and M like that one alot. So we had to see it in person too.
We then left Soazq's house and went to Isabelle and Yannicks house. This was an amazing little family, who can cook very well!!! Isa and Yannick took us to a little wine bar village and bought us some champagne for my birthday. This was relaly good champage. While we were there we found a great little place for wine and food. Its called Belcy Village I believe, im gonna check again, because this is a must while in Paris, and its not in the books either. So very local.
We went to Caen, which is about 2 hours from Paris, it was nice, very rainy so we were unable to see the beaches and all. But we went to the Memorial Museum for the DDAY beaches. It was nice. The next day we went to DISNEYLAND!!!! So much fun, i loved it there. The park is much smaller than the states. But space mountain is way better, with twists and turns and upside downs more exciting the the one in LA. But the rest didnt compare to LA, the rides were ok, its a small world was nice. But Indiana Jones was just a roller coaster with nothing to do with the movie like ours is. I think the ones in the states tell more of a story and the one here is more for fun.
Our last day was sunny, so we walked along the Seine River to the Eiffel Tower. We saw it at sunset, and that was gorgeous. Look at those pictures to. They will be up soon. But it was really a great sight, we saw it a few days before but it was rainy and wet and so cold trying to climb up those stairs lol. It is so big, the Eiffel Tower. Its really a treasure to see it though.
Overall, Paris was Amazing. We really enjoyed it all, I especially like the Arc de Triumph and the Eiffel Tower... and the Louvre and Notre Dame, well obviously everything right. How couldnt you. It was all so amzing. Oh the Notre Dame is gorgeous on the inside, we walked up those stairs the same day as the Eiffel Tower, but seeing the city from that high up is nice. We really liked seeing the gargoils, if thats how you spell it. Anywho, this is getting long. Paris is Amazing, truley the city of lights and love. I loved it for sure. I will upload the rest of the pictures soon for you all to enjoy.
