well we finally made it! no thanks to terrible plane food and screaming doha baby though. Arrived safe in bangkok, got the bus from the airport straight to khao san road then walked to our hostel. Taxi drivers at the airport were gobsmacked we didnt want to get in with them. but sure where's the fun in that? Since then we've been trying to cool down in the 27 degree heat despite it being late at night, walking around khao san road (officially the craziest place on the planet) and eating delicious roast the mouth off you pad tha with teeny tiny prawns that look liike bacon bits!! Enjoying the air conditioning long enough to drop you all a line here at an internet cafe in our hostel complex, then we're heading to mulligan's irish bar to watch the six nations final (yes, yes we know its nearly midnight, but we want to see ireland win!) In the morning we might hit the rooftop pool to cool down and then decide on sightseeing destinations for the next few days and plan of action for cambodia...safe and well, hope you are all jealous :)
