Hellllllo There!!!

Sorry it's been a bit of while since my last update, so I thought I'd write something quick down here!!

Unfortunately, not that much has been happening here.. I've been pretty sick the last week or so. School was going really well, I really enjoy working with the kids, however my Spanish classes were cancelled for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday which was a bit frusterating!!

But I have some sort of stomach flu going on, for about a week now, which has made me a bit uneasy. I don't necessairly embrace the thought of being ill in a foreign country. So I've been pretty much lying around in bed drinking lots of water and eating saltines for the last few days. It seems to have gotten worse today and yesterday however, so tomorrow morning my house mother Aloisa is going to take me to the clinic in Hone Creek. I must admit I'm more than a little terrified of health services, and possibly medicine, in a different country, but I guess it's all part of the experience? Hey, at least I'll be able to update this with fun information on what it's like to deal with doctors who can't speak your language!

On the upside, I have taken some time to relax on the beach, so the tan is going fairly well! I still like it here, it is just a little frusterating to be ill when I really want to be helping the kids, learning Spanish, and experiencing life out here. Lying around in bed watching Titanic isn't exactly ideal! I was pretty upset to not be able to go horseback riding on the beach yesterday, but I still do have about 4 weekends left here so I'm sure I'll be able to take a rain check!
