Good afternoon!
I'm making an effort to write this more regularly now, even though I don't think anyone's reading it!
I'm sure there's so much I could write about, have been having an awesome time. I spent Saturday at Collette and Eric's cooking a meal and desert for the Mazabuka Tennis and Cricket club...cottage pie and chocolate cake, turned out awesome but then no one came to the club so we took it home and ate there...Collette is officially one of the funniest people I've ever met, I have booked her as entertainment for my hen night!
Sunday morning Donna and I went to church with Momba, one of the guys I teach at school, the preaching was so lively and entertaining as well as inspiring, and the choir literally sent shivers through our bodies...it was amazing! In the afternoon we all went up to a guy called Theo's for a braai (bbq) and Donna's special spicy meatballs. We got there at 1 and started on the Savanna (cider) then....progressing to wine...then Belinda's tradmark shooters....then some more wine and cider! Hence why Collette was horrendous and fell off the sofa backwards...somehow managing not to spill any of her wine.
Shaun and I spent at least 5 hours dancing on the terrace, he was teaching me some Afrikan's ballroom stylee dancing...I'm telling you, our turns and fancy tricks are second to none! It was such a good day, I really loved it!
Was teaching in the school on Monday morning....it amazes me how they are each week. This week I got there early so was in the classroom before the teachers meeting had finished. One of the guys, Jo-Jo quietly told everyone to be quiet...and they all were, immediately...then he read Psalm 125 and gave everyone a sort of thought for the day from it before they all prayed together! It was so different from anything you see in normal english schools I was amazed, it was great though. Since then I've been in the office with Donna, helping her with her invoices and remits and printing where I can. Got to immigration today so I now have a work permit and can keep coming into the country until 1st Sept!
I have been so lucky coming here and meeting these people, I am now going down to Durban in South Africa on Thursday to stay with Donna's family for 10 days whilst she is home and then for another 5 days to stay at another friends house, I can't wait...sub tropical sea, beach, sun, surf, game parks....it will be amazing!!
I hope everyone is keeping well back home, keep me posted!
Miss you all, shall write from SA!
