Counting down to the Christmas holidays!!!!

Three Sports Days in one week = exhausting! However its been very successful. It all began with the EYU and Nursery Sports Day on Monday, morning sooooo cute!! Yr 1 & 2 in teh afternoon. Balancing a bean bag, running through tunnels, jumping in hoops, riding a scooter and the 50m dash! Relay was one to watch which was followed by the immensely competitive parents races!

Yr 3, 4 & 5 Sports Day on tuesday with traditional track and field events, some potential olympic athletes in the making! Yr 6, 7 & 8 on wednesday with the parent/teacher/student races!! The level of competitivness increased as the days progressed. Im pretty sure the parents had been in training for this event and it certainly meant more to them than anyone else. Great fun!

Im looking forward to the holidays with great anticipation, Mount Kenya, Serengeti and a couple of weeks lounging around on a beach in Zanzibar scuba diving, snorkling and chilling for Christmas and New Year!! Its been a long half term and theres still loads to get through.

I find Im heading to bed ridiculously early these days, I blame it on the fact in Kenya its dark within 30mins from 6.20 to 6.50, by 7pm you'd think it was the middle of the night.

The short rains are here, so the weather is unpredictable. Heavy showers followed by bright sunshine and scorching temperatures!!

Not had much free time recently, fixtures have taken over my weekends. Again these have been worthwhile. A couple of victories with Rounders teams and a great finish to the season! Ive had my own personal glory to with a six a side football tournament win! Embassy Champions!!! A great day and a great experience playing against different teams and different nationalities, an International Tournament run for the Embassys based in Kenya. I represented British High Commission. A friendly team who dont seem to have the same policy as the other teams namely Railway Wanderers who voted me out for being female!!! Im turning a few heads each time I play BHC as people arent used to women playing over here. Times are changing!!!
