Everyone...i made it to Australia!!
What a beautiful place, ive seen so many photos of the sydney opera house in my lifetime and i just went to see it for photos sake...but its soooo much more amazing in real life. Ive been a true tourist since ive arrived...backpack on, doing the tours with headsets and walking with my map in one hand and camera in the other going snap snap snap at any opportunity. there is sooooo much to do in sydney, its amazing! ive been up the sydney tower this morning (luckily all the mist cleared just as i was getting to the top) and got some wonderful photos. I went to the opera house yesterday afternoon, it rained most of the day so was a good time to do a little tour of course! tours are all high tech here now, even for the english tours we are all given headsets and we sync into the tour guide who also has a headst. she talks to us through her headset and then when they show us these videos they are automatically synced to our headsets. means we can hear everything without having to be real close! technology today. we went into the main symphony concert ahll...absolutely fantastic, one of the girls on our your got up and sang, she was amazing...sang some opera song which i did recognise!! it gets dark pretty eartly here...around 5ish so managed to get some great photos of the harbour bridge, opera house and downtown sydeny all lit up.

not so sure on the hostel front, vertainly not one of the nicest ive ever stayed in but its cheap and theres some nice people there.

im still trying to find the visitor centre which appears to have vanished since i arrived, apparently theres 2 but so far ive been unlucky on finding either. ill have another hunt here.

im currently 10hours head of the uk i think. i had no idea on time when my flight arrived yesterday and spent most of it not having a clue! there are very few clocks here out in public.

anyway thats about it for now. just a quick update for now. my nz mobile is now not working (surprisingly) but my old english is working...they have the three network out here! you can expect a phone call!!!!!!!
