Hey!
So... on Friday we went on a tour to the Blue Mountains just outside Sydney. Our first stop was at Featherdale Wildlife Park where we saw loads of Austarlian animals such as koalas, tasmanian devils, dingoes and casawary! We also got to feed kangaroos and touch the koalas. Next stop was Wentworth Falls a little town in the mountains where we got some food and then went to a lake nearby to eat it. Next stop was Echo Point where we saw the 3 sisters and had a great view of the Blue Mountains. We then stopped at Scenic World and did a Bush walk and then went back up the canyon on the steepest train in the world (52 degrees)! Next we stopped at a winery and did some wine tasting and finally we stopped at Olympic Park and got the ferry back through the harbour to the city!
On Saturday we we got the train and a bus to Bondi beach where we did a walk along the coast and had lunch on the grass. They had 2 lifesaving clubs on the beach and a museum but it was closed at the weekends! We then got a bus back to Circular Quay and got on the ferry to Manly where we walked along the Promenade. We got a ferry back to Circular Quay and then on to Darling Harbour where we had dinner and then saw a band playing on a floating stage in the middle of the harbour.
Sunday (yesterday) we went to Olympic Park on the train. We went on a walking tour which included a trip up the Novotel Hotel to the observation deck where we could see over the whole park and to the city 14km away. We then hired a tandem and did a cycle ride around the park - extremely amusing especially when I was on the front and Steve was crapping his pants! We then went to the Olympic pool where Thorpedo broke all of his records in the 2000 Olympics. I swam 2 lengths and then went in the Jaquzzi cos it was really cold! Steve swam 1km! I met some people competing in a mini Olympics who were from USA and Mexico that played tennis. We then had dinner in the Novotel restaurant. The Olympic park was amazing and its great that its still used all of the time. Lets hope London will follow Sydney's lead!
Bye!
