Noosa is absolutely beautiful.
The first night we stayed in a really pretty and peaceful hostel called Dolphins, the staff are very friendly and the hostel is more like a hotel with glass sliding doors and colourful bed sheets...almost back to normality! We also spoiled ourselves to smoked salmon, cream cheese and caper bagels...naughty naughty oh and berry crumble with ice cream!
The next day we moved to a hostel nearer main beach which was more central.
The town is very upmarket with a clear sandy main beach fronted by expensive hotels and a main shopping street (Hastings Street) lined with boutiques and designer stores it certainly seems fair from backpacker haven! It is also renowned for its National Park and uniquely named beaches (fairy pools, witches couldron and devils kitchen!). We spent the day walking down Hastings Street, admiring but not buying and then walked a few metres away from the shops and onto the beach.
In the evening we went supermarket shopping and bought food for our picnic in the National Park. We shared a dorm with 3 other girls who are all really sweet. One is German and looks exactly like Whitney from The Hills and Izzie from Grey's Anatomy...in fact the likeness is uncanny! We also booked our trip to the zoo...
