I have just got back from my 3 day 4wd safari on Fraser Island. Had such a great time....although the weather wasn't great i was in a really good group of 11 people. We camped for two nights right near the beach on the island and travelled around the island during the day by truck...don't worry mum, i didn't drive! Today we lay in till 10am and walked to the National Park. We chose not to go on bikes as it was really hot....thank god we walked because most of it was up hill! We walked along the Coastal path in the National Park as it is meant to be more scenic! It was so beautiful. You can see right across the bay for miles and we passed some really beautiful smaller beaches which were absolutely stunning and reminded me of Dorset which made me feel very happy and content! ...

Today we all woke up bright and early at 7am to go to Steve Irwin's 'Australia Zoo'. Luckily it was a really sunny day and we got picked up at our hostel and driven by coach to the zoo. This wasn't an ordinary zoo...it was more hands on and when i say hands on we got to independently stroke kangarros, koalas, wombats etc... Steve Irwins's face is everywhere. His well known sayings 'crikey' 'isn't she beautiful' and 'you don't want to mess with that' echo around...

Noosa is absolutely beautiful. The first night we stayed in a really pretty and peaceful hostel called Dolphins, the staff are very friendly and the hostel is more like a hotel with glass sliding doors and colourful bed sheets...almost back to normality!
