hey guys

hows things back at home? So here I am, still going strong in Sydney. Well...maybe not so strong after getting the SACK (I know im very ashamed to say)..yep I got sacked from the waitressing job! looks like I just wasnt cut out to be a waitress (I must have been even worse than the lady at the Mount OMG!!!!!!) So I had 2 go out job hutning all over again..I'll be a professional job hunter when im older i think!

Been up to quite a few interesting activites...read on to find out!

Went to the Chinese Friendship Gardens last week with Heather, Hannah and Lucy. It was really funny...you have these lush green gardens with waterfalls and ponds, feels like your in the middle of a forest...and you look over the fence and you see the city!! Its very funny to see, but still very nice! Oh and we got discount with our "backpacker cards" felt kind of privaliged! It was a nice sunny afternoon so we took a picnic and sat in the gardens and ate our lunch..oh yeh and had a coffee and cake to treat ourselves. Dont know what for but felt better saying that haha

The Market @ the Rocks was a good day out with the girls but the weather was horrible! It tipped down from the moment we woke up to the time we got home from the market, and by coincidence, the rain then stopped! Luckily the markets were covered so managed to stay dry. There are so many nice things there...I seen a stunning silk scarf, when I asked the lady how much she replied "only $130". I nearly chocked on my Corn on the Cob!! (which I got for $2 'cos it was the last few going haha)

Bondi Beach - On the weekend (12/11/06) , Heather, Hannah, Erik and I all went to Bondi Beach for the day. It was sooooo hot, but it was nice to actually go on a beach considering ive not stepped foot on sand since ive been here! I know its shocking...I come all the way 2 australia and only after 2 months have I been to a beach! I was told by an Irish lad its always full of 'beautiful people'. So I asked what are beautiful people and he replied the skinny girls in their bikinis!!!!

Today (14/11) we went to an Art Gallery. It was really cool, full of contemporary art..wierd designs of posters, cd covers, canvasis etc unfortunalety I was not allowed to take any photographs so have nothing to show you guys. sorry!

In the middle of writing this I realised ive not told you I have a new JOB! hahahahaha bet your all sick of hearing about these stupid jobs aint you?! me 2. Well...ill bore you anyways, its actually a very easy but crappy job doing market research. I have to ring up people and ask them if they would spare a few moments to complete a survey. If they say no I say ok thanks goodbye, and if they say yes I fill out the survey with them. 5 till 9, minimum of 3 days a week plus one day on the weekend. Easy money!! touch wood. Hope I can keep this one longer than the last!

Today im feeling much better, as ive been ill all week. Started off with the flu, which turned into dizzy spells and feeling sick, to ear ache. I think ive managed to kill the ear infection just in time, so im glad about that. Its only today im starting to feel myself again. I have actually started to go to bed before 3am too mam so you should be happy :) This week im using my days to plan out my travels...as im leaving Sydney in a few weeks time to start travelling. Cannot wait!!! Ive started to practice eating like a backpacker on the move..tonight for tea I had boiled rice! mmmmm!! my favourite! To make it a bit varied I did actually have some asparagus with it.

some more top news...I am getting brainier! (if thats a word? if its not just ignore it and add a better word) I have learnt 3 new words since ive been here, plus some italian and swedish. My 3 new words are Eclectic, Inclenent and Endearing. If you need an explanation dont be afraid to ask ok. The italian ive learnt is "mikiamo Emma" "comme sta" "bene gratzi" (dont know about the spelling), and my swedish is "hurli lagedt". Think im going quite well myself.
