Our first stop once we crossed the border was at Orange River. Our campsite was right on the river which was wicked, had amazing views. we did some canoeing along the river during the day, which was fun to start with then got quite tireing, as me and lucy couldn't seem to get the canoe to go in a straight line, we were going zig zag, which was very hard work, after like 3 hours!! lol, then in the eveing we gatecrashed another turcks bin bag party,m which was fun! they had a pig on the spit, which was quite tastey! lol.
We arrived in Cape Town to the rain, apparently their had been a big storm few days previously and so there were still heavy winds and rain, which was sad as we couldnt see table mountin. We got to our hostel ok though, it's pretty good, called Ashanti. We went down to the Victoria and Albert Waterfront to check out the shops and organise a few trips. that night there was a big street festival, apparently its the Long street festival which happens every year for no reason really! was quite cool though, everybodyy was out in the streets!
Capetown Aquarium was quite good, got to see some fish, penguins, and some sharks getting fed! this was good prep[eration for our shark cage dive!!!
The shark cage dive was awseome, we had to get up at 5 in the morning as its a 2 hour drive from Cape Town, near Mossel Bay, when we got there the weather wasnt great, but they still let us go out on the boat and do it! was pretty scary at first, but u feel completley safe in the cage, and u just end up in awe of the sharks really, although there was one scary bit when one huge shark, abot 4 m was banging right up against the cage, chewing on the bait, was literally staring a great whit shark in the face which is cool!!! ........
