unfortunately we didnt manage to make it to the champagene falls on the first day as we were running a bit late! we did however manage to find and make it to our campsite for the night at Guruman. we had an awseome bbq for dinner, before having an early night.
we got up at 6am the next day so that we could get the tents down and the car packed ready to make it to champagene falls and indian head. howver it wasnt that succesful as we managed to get the car stuck in the soft sand on the road to the falls we managed to dig the tyres out though, Twice!!!!we did eventually work out that it was probably easier to actally walk to the head instead of spending the day digging the car out of the sand1 after we saw the falls and climbed the head, we headed back down the beach to check out the shipwreck, Maheno Wreck, then down to Eli Creek for a stroll in the water. then off to Lake Wabby, which was really cool, surrounded by sand dunes! we then all headed back down to cornwells to camp for the night. the next day was our last day on Fraser, so we headed down to Lake Makenzie. We did manage to get there despite some really skethcy bits of road, i had to drive over a tree trunk, uphill in soft sand, bit scary, but it worked out ok! lol the Lake was amazing though, and we were lucky enough to actually have a few hours of sunshine instead of the usual terrential rain to enjoy it. after our dip in the lake we headed off back to the ferry. we managed to return the car back to the garage in one piece which was quite an achievement i think! we stayed in Hervey bay that night, then in the mornign caught the greyhound down to Noosa.
