For our last evening in Hanoi we went to visit Hoan Kiem Lake, home to a famous 100 year old freshwater turtle. Unfortunately only one now remains as the rest were caught by fishermen over the last few decades.

We then went to a traditional Vietnamese show which has become popular with tourists and locals alike, the Water Puppets. We watched a series of mini shows that depicted various aspects of daily life in Vietnam, from coconut picking to fishing to farming. The show was really good and helped change our negative experience of Hanoi so far.

The following morning we headed to the airport for our flight down to Bangkok.
