Okay guys so as you all have realised I have been pretty rubbish at updating my blog lately had far too much other stuff to do but I'm going to try and get it all up to date so some may be short and brief but enough so you know what I have been up to.
So after Istanbul we headed for Anzac day. We had to leave our guide and one of the other group members behind as our visas for Iran were going to take longer than planned to come through after the embassy had been shut for a holiday.
So we headed off with Adam our driver as soon as we were done. We wanted to get to Anzac day with as much time to spare so those of us going could get dinner first. We got there early and the area was no were near as busy as Adam had seen it previously so we had time to get our dinner and chill a little before heading off.
It was quitter than other years but there were still hundreds of people sleeping side by side in there sleeping bags like sardines in the grass areas but we thought we would just take advantage of the empty seats rather than try and squeeze in, and so the 8 of us huddled in a corner and got comfy for the long night ahead.
It was an amazing atmosphere but unfortunately I took this LONG night to be ill for the first time and a couple of hours in I started to feel very wheezy and ended up being sick in one of the revolting Porto loos, which probably helped me along the way of getting it out of my system but after that I started to feel better and we stayed for the dawn service and then had to head off and meet the truck to get a move on to catch our ferry.
