Hi

I'm in Byron Bay now - arrived yesterday after spending a couple of nights in Coffs Harbour where i saw the Big Banana - which was a bit disappointing - i expected it to be huge but it was still big in comparison with a real banana! Ate a frozen chocoloate covered banana there which was surprisingly tasty. Not done too much to report mostly just wandering around and occasionally sunbathing. Left Sydney a week ago now - after a day trip in the Blue mountains and more wandering around teh botanical gardens. My first stop after Sydney was Newcastle which was pleasant enough and had a nice beach where i tried out body boarding, was going to do a day trip but i was the only one signed up so it didn't go ahead and i needed to move on up the coast. In Coffs Harbour at the Big Banana there was the most banana related souvenirs i have ever seen and some i had never thought would exist!!

Will explore Byron Bay today - it's a bit cloudy but that's better than getting burnt! It's not cold so that's a plus - hope you are not all cold at home!!
