seems like a life time since brisbane now.

after leaving the botanic gardens we did some food shopping at the supermarket used the internet and then cooked some dinner!

went downstairs to the bar and bumped into matt who we seem to see everywhere! and went to tin billies to do the trivia night. didnt do too badly came like 4th i think. also met some of his friends matt, adam, chris, noel. stayed with them for the rest of the night, went back to the down under bar, which is underneath our hostel and had abit of a boogie.

next day we got up and planned on spendinmg the day in one of the national parks. unfortunatley couldnt go as it was too expensive so we took a boat ride down the river to a few of the parks and stuff. ended up just sitting aorund, sleeping and reading as we went further down the river. wasnt a great deal to see unfortunatley but was so cheap it didnt matter.

that night we arranged to meet jozi and steph girls we met on the booze crusie night in surfers for a bbq on the south bank. really nice area lots of little restaurants and bars. also a manmade beach. abit like center parks i thought! so we had a natterw ith them for a while. they were leaving the next day though so didnt stay late and we said our goodbyes. had a really fun night with them. very nice girls!

wednesday we did a bike ride down the river, but unfortunatley was exactly the same route as the boat went the previous day so was slightly boring. but we just chilled out again sitting and reading. was nice to do some exercise thoguh.

planned a good night out that night, and had been waiting all week for it. met the girls from our room, naomi and lauren and couple of their friends. also met frankie and jess. we all took part in a limbo contest at the bar which i came 3rd in. so should of won to i was clearly the only 1 doin it proprely! went to the valley and it was rubbish no where was open wqhich was very disapointin so we left pretty quickley and went back to the hostel and to bed.

thursday was a very lazy day! just sat about the hostel most of the day reading and writing diaries etc. made dinner and had a very early bed!

checked out at 630 next morin to get back on the oz bus. spent an hour in noosa a small beachy place and got some lunch there then back on the bus to rainbow beach!

had abit of a boring tiome in rainbow beach. didnt do anything, lityerally! was there for 3 days too. tuyrned out that the only reason people go there is to get to fraesr island and since we werent goin was rather pointless! did meet a rteally nice guy harry though and spent alot of time with him! the town consisted of a beach a few shops and a couple of hostels. the first day teh wetaher was rubbish, we hung out with matt again and went down to the bewach and shopped for food. we went dolphin feedin another day incredibly early ion the morinin which was abit dispaointin as was lietrally on a beach with loads of people all crowded around and not very 'wild' as they called it. was cool to see a dolphin up close though.

drove to hervey bay for a night after rainbow beach. pretty borin place it seemed. werent there for long though. only had time to eat and sleep.

moved onto kroombit the next day. arrived just after mid day had lunch and then went horse riding. was so much fun. me and kady had the most beautiful horses by far. they were both preganant too whcih was so cute. we rode up to a huge field and then herded loads of goats into a big pen for the goat rodeo. was a wiked experience. took the horse baxck and then drove upto the goiats on the bus. did a goat rodeo whcih was well fun. me, kady n frankie were a team. the idea wasa to brand the goat sounds really cruel and was abit but was fun. i had to catch the goat frankie turned it over and kady branded it, but not really was cold. we did come 2nd tho whcih we were well impressed with. after that played a horrible electric shock game with a cattle prod and went back to teh ranch. learnt how to crack a whip! real cowboy now! and then did some mechanical bull riding which i won! wahoo! were stayin in soem well funny accomodation too. actually horse stables with beds in! not the comfiest but interesting.

left the next morning early and had a long drive to airlie beach and arrived at 6!

had 4 nights in airlie beach. yet another place were we didnt do much. but all with the aim to save money! relaxed by the lagoon quite abit. a man made pool like in brsibane! was quite nice and gave us a chance to swim as the sea is just too rough to swim. also we did ocean rafting around the whitsundays. a group of stunning islands. one of the ebst days weve had so far. had a tour round some caves with aboriginal paintings on. thenw ent snorkling in coral gardens. so beautiful was crazy! amasing fish! and the corals were srtunniing and so bizarre like another world! after we went for lunch and a few hours of tanning time on whitehaven beach. ive never seen anyhting like it. was pure white sand, palm trees everywhere! blue sea and so deserted!

that was all we really did in airllea beach apart from meetin up with frankie and jess again and we met some more really sound guys george and will.
