Our first adventure is coming to an end... Ciao, Buenos Aires! We've fallen in love with this city, but now it's time for a little more rugged. We're now headed to WWOOF in Cholila in the Chubut region. We'll be living with a young couple and helping out with their organic garden, building things, etc. Not exactly sure what type of work, but the guy asked if we knew how to work with machetes.
We'll be tenting it for the month, but we can also stay, when our backs need a break, at a hostel 15 km away that the couple owns. If we tent it, we'll be doing so on their "granja" next to their house, which doesn't have electricity so they use lanterns and candles at night.
SO FUN.
We're first going to San Carlos de Bariloche to travel a bit before WWOOFing, but then we'll be taking a bus to one city and then another to Cholila (the bus to Cholila only leaves 3 times a week - 3:30 on Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday). So Wednesday, Cholila here we come.
Blogs may not be posted as often as they have been during our stay in a comfortable apartment with an ethernet cord in Buenos Aires. Pretty much because we don't know if we will have access to Internet very often. But we love hearing from everyone via blog posts, e-mail, Facebook, Beluga, etc! Ciao!

katie gilman glad to hear you guys are doing well. I've serously been considering taking a sabbatical to south america in the near future and have been looking into doing some woofing for some of the time. How much $$ did you guys end up taking down there and has it lasted as long as you planned? Any ideas about earning money in south america? xoxo
Gerardo D. Lloret Hi! do you still have the contact information of that young couple who host you while wwoofing at Cholila?
