we're a day behind, but the internet cafe is a bit funny, so we found another for a third of the price (about 30p per hour!) which actually lets us put photos on. By the way, mum and dad, we are staying in a very nice and very cheap hotel in an area that isn't too touristy, and we're really enjoying it. Yesterday we did the temples. We had to put on lots of clothes, so we almost drowned in our own sweat, but the temples are amazing. everything is so intricately designed and very elaborate. We walked to Khao San Road, the backpacker area, where there are loads of stalls and cafes. You can get fake ID made there for driving liscences, student cards and TEFL certificates (very dodgy!) We finally gave in to the pressures of the Thais and had a tuk-tuk ride. It was really fun, although we did fear for our lives. A highlight of the day was when we attempted to cross a busy road, and got to the central reservation bit fine, but it was so busy that we couldn't get accross to the other side. We were standing there for at least 15 miutes before a Thai man came to cross the road and we basically attatched ourselves to him! Our feet were covered in soot!
