We've arrived! After an eventful flight and a day of sickness and sleep we relaxed by the roof pool in our hostel just outside of the centre of Bangkok. We're now staying 2 nights on Khao San Road which is backpacker central. Today we took our first tuk tuk (very exciting) to a big Buddha and The Golden Mount which were both beautiful.

If we make it up in time tomorrow morning (5am!!!) we hope to go to the floating market which we have heard is quite a treat! Then we shall head to the Grand Palace and a few of the other temples.

We have booked a 3 day trek up North in Chang Mai which will include Elephant riding, bamboo rafting and 3 nights camping in the forest with the long necked tribes. We have been told not to publically show affection to one another as the tribes still believe in spirits which do not approve - so we will just have to control ourselves!!

Anyway we are off to rave it up on the road that is Khao San so will love you and leave you until our return from the North - hopefully we will have some pictures to upload.
