We've returned from just over a week in Laos which was beautiful...lots of mountains and greenery! We took the slow boat with a couple from our trek and met another 4 guys and 2 girls on the way. We went to Luang Probang which was very French and visited some goregous waterfalls and lagoons. We went to the nightmarket and a temple with amazing views over the town and river. Here we randomly bumped into Jen from footy who joined us that eveing for a baguette!! Af...

After seeing the sights of Bangkok we were ready to leave the busy city for some calmer countryside. We took an overnight Train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai which was....an experience. After the embarassment of sitting in the wrong seat for about half an hour we settled down 3 cabins away for the start of our journey. At about 11pm a man in a facemask miraculously changed the two seats into bunk beds....amazing! Suprisingly the ride wasn't too bad and 15 hours late...

Within an hour of writting our last blog, our plans have had a slight bit of tweaking...after having reassessed our finances and visa costs we have decided not to venture into Cambodia and Vietnam. We've arrived! After an eventful flight and a day of sickness and sleep we relaxed by the roof pool in our hostel just outside of the centre of Bangkok. We're now staying 2 nights on Khao San Road which is backpacker central. Today we took our first tuk tuk (very exciting) to a big Buddha and The Golden Mount which were both beautiful.
