Hola Chicos y Chicas!
Well it has been another busy week and a half and that time has come again for a little update on the adventure...
We spent the beginning of last week at the Iguacu falls, and I can honestly say I think it is one of the most stunning and beautiful places I have been. We arrived at the Brazilian side of the falls on Sunday 9 Aug and went to see the falls on the Monday. Seeing the falls from Brazil gives you an incredible panoramic view- you walk along a walkway the whole length of the falls- it sounds silly but I had no idea they were so huge! Unfortunately the weather wasnt great (as you can see from the pics it was grey and chilly) but we were still really impressed by the falls- though this was nothing compared to what we were to see in Argentina!
We crossed the border into Argentina on the Monday night and spent time on both Tuesday and Wednesday visiting the falls. We were lucky to have clear sky and sunshine- perfect weather for rainbows and butterflies! It was magical and I lost count of the number of photos I took (selecting a few to put up on here was hard!). We did a couple of walking trails and also caught the train up right to the mouth of the falls. Trendy as our macs looked they were powerless against the might of the falls and we did get rather soaked from the spray!
We also did a 15 minute boat trip around the bottom of the falls (again getting unavoidably drenched in the process). Felt pretty satisfied by the end that we had seen the falls from every conceivable angle except from the air! (next time...) Definitely my favourie place of the trip so far.
