Well it's Saturday, and no word from you. I pray no news is good news. We had the Girl Scout yard sale today. I had several families donate most, if not all of their stuffed animals for me to send to South Africa to you for your orphanage kids. Keri, Hilary, and Dad all helped me. Mrs. Emma & Mr. David went to Sammio's with Keri, Dad, & I for dinner. We thought about you and what you might be having for dinner tonight. Hilary has gone to the movies with Derek. Keri is going to a party now at Anthony's. Wonder if you are enjoying the evening with the Wellnes Africa folks, or maybe the hippos that hang around your place. Your information didn't get put in the church newsletter, but I've asked the preacher to read your request at church tomorrow. If not, I will get the word out. Rest well, my love and prayers, Mom
Dad; And I'm Still Bigger
Hey my little Sweetie; Well it's Saturday evening and we are getting ready to go to Sammio's with Mr. Dave & Mrs. Emma. Today was the GC Yardsale from 6 AM to 12 noon. It was so hot today, I'm still tired. They worked on the Apt. today, and almost finished the drywall, we were short 4 pieces so almost everything is covered. It's starting to look like something. I hope everything is going well with you and you got to do some traveling and sightseeing today and tomorrow. I'm sure you know all work and no play, makes for a long week. I know even if you are working you are having fun and learning all the time. What a project, I am so proud of you. What is Gavin going to do? Well mom should be down in a few as it's almost 6 PM. I know you know what time it is so, I love you more, and more. Hope to hear from you soon. Love Dad.

Hi to Eleana's friends. My work email address is: [email protected]; however, I will not be back in the office until next Tuesday due to the Memorial Day holiday. My home email is: [email protected]. We have had a great response to Eleana's plea for supplies for the orphanage she will be working in. It might be easier if I don't act as the middle man for those of you located outside of the Fayetteville area. When I get the confirmed address and the preferred shipping arrangements confirmed, I will email or post on the message board. I know that Keri is trying to get the ECU SGA to help sponsor the project as well. If not, and you are closer to Greenville, you can still get items to Keri as she is living in Eleana's apartment and working on campus this summer. I know that Eleana will be so excited when she can next tap into cyberspace and read how so many people want to help her with this mission. Mama Brockett

Eleana,
Gosh! I tried and tried to get in touch with you before graduation and also before you left for Africa. You have been on my mind and I'm so glad that Keri let me know about this website! It sounds like you are having an amazing time right now. Have fun; I can't wait to hear all about all your safari adventures! lol. I miss and love you lots!

Hey Eleana, I just read your journal entry from yesterday, it sounds like you are really enjoying yourself and experiencing great things that you will cherish forever! Your major project sounds amazing and I would like to help anyway possible. I am not sure of your mom's email address so maybe she will read this and get in touch with me. I will try to get all the people around this area to donate as many toothbrushes, toothpaste and teddy bears as possible, please let me know if there is anything else I can try to get donated. I know my mom has tons of clothes for younger children just packed up in storage if there is any way to donate those as well! Maybe I can ship everything you would like to your mom and then she can send it all together! Just please let me know what I can do and I will go ahead and start spreading the word about the items I know you need! Keep having the time of your life! Miss you!

Hi my little Grown Up, how ya doing. The apartment is moving right along. I got the cabinets, the drywall and insulation was delivered yesterday. The insulation is in, and I may be able to have the drywall hung tomorrow (Sat.), if not the first of the week. I am having the tv's in the living room and bed room put on the wall in the corners and have had cable run. So far so good. I know you are busy (wait, it's been a minute, I win) but I know you are having fun and taking in and learning all the brain and heart can absorb. I love and miss you bunches, and hope to hear from you one way or the other soon. Love Dad

Eleana, since before you left on your journey, I have been reminded of a wonderful song that the youth group did for the church a few years ago from "The Prayer of Jabez." This has been a prayer for me and you. "The day is dawning and I am just rising, I pray my strength won't fail, my strength won't fail. The day is dawning and I am just rising, I pray my hope won't fail, my hope won't fail. The day is dawning and I am just rising, I pray my love won't fail, my love won't fail....Lord make me an instrument, 'cause I just can't live here and be the same." I love you. Hope to hear from you soon. Mom

Good news, Eleana! I just got off the phone with Dr. David Hedgecoe. He was so interested in your mission to promote dental hygiene at the AIDS orphanage in South Africa. He and Hedgecoe Dentristy want to donate some toothbrushes and toothpaste. He will call me back to let me know when I can them up. Dr. Caldwell is out of his office, but will get back with me soon, I'm sure. What does the good book say, ask and ye shall receive, knock and the door will be open unto you! Keep praying! We are all praying here as you do the good work! Love, Mom

I hope that your journey is still going well and that you are having a great time even with all of your hard work.....take care and keep all of us informed.....oh and please tell your mom to take those horrible pictures of me off the website....thanks to her the world now knows what I look like after going to the gym...which is NOT a pretty site!

Wow! What a wonderful way to begin my day. A message from you and a journal log as well. Just love the people and love the day that the Lord has made. Rejoice and be glad in it! Who needs computers when we can communicate in our thoughts, words, and deeds, and prayers. We can see each other in our dreams. I love you! Mom

My sweet Eleana, I cannot begin to tell you how proud of you I am. I am so happy for you. You shall leave an impression there like you have left here. It takes a very special person to do what you are doing. You have the compassion and the drive to make a difference in the world. You have already begun to make that difference.....people will smile when they see you smile, your smile brightens their hearts as well as the ones you love here at home. You are always thinking of others and what you can do to make life better for them, that is who you are....I am so proud!!!!! You go and do what God has chosen you to do...Remember that I love you and that I am praying for you. By the way great project! I will get with you mom on it....
