Exploring the Augrabies national park, was a sweet and sour affair, not too great, but worth the visit anyway, only once though, I don't think it's worth a second visit, but still, "been there, saw that" is the order of the day. Saw the " Moon rock" and took a picture of a plant on top of it, wich must surely be a " moon plant" by default, who needs NASA rockets?, we are having it! Right here in the northern cape!
Leaving Augrabies at 14:00 hours, I estimated arriving at Springbok around 18:00, with 2 hours daylight left to set up camp and get a fire going. In your dreams! My car said silently, and decided to break down in the middle of nowhere, somewhere between Kakamas and Pofadder. No adventure is ever possible without an occasional mishap or a dozen, so that is where the lemons come in to focus.
I limped back to Kakamas with my car stalling every 2 minutes, but I got here safely after 55 km and 3,1/2 hours. I set up camp at a local wine farm, of which this area have plenty, and are currently enjoying some more Klippies and Cola next to a camp fire consisting of thick, dried grapevines, that actually makes for good coals, to my amazement.
I will concern myself about car troubles tomorrow, for now, cheers to the orange river wine lands!
