Wow!Had an awesome week cruising around the Galapagos Islands. They really are amazing and there is loads of wildlife to go with them. My boat was the 10 passenger ¨New Flamingo¨and we had a good mix of people on the boat. The guide was excellent (Fonzy) and had 16 years of experience. A small boat is good because you get a good group feel but unfortunately it means that you get rocked about a lot on the sea. The first 24 hours were horrible... puked a few times and didn’t manage to keep any food or water down. Was beginning to worry about what to do if it continued but thankfully things settled down on the whole. I was always a little sea sick throughout though and was probable the only one to loose a bit of weight on the trip (we were offered A LOT of food – I usually couldn’t manage to eat much of it).I also managed to get hit in the face by the only other person to vomit on the trip…a German girl who leant over the side of the boat but didn’t account for the wind blowing some of the contents of her stomach towards me sat further back in the boat – Nice. Was only a little bit…but still!Generally we were sailing overnight between islands and spent the days walking or snorkelling. I saw loads of cool wildlife…sea lions, turtles, tortoises, land iguanas, sea iguanas, sharks, penguins, dolphins, flamingos, stalks, herons, blue footed boobies, mockingbirds, nazcar boobies, albatross, crabs, tropical birds, frigate birds, and loads of other fish and birds.I’ve but some photos on the photo album page- think I got a few good ones. Overall was a very good (if a little expensive) trip. Saw some amazing things but will be glad not to get in a boat for a little while…Edd
