Eaton Family's Aussie Adventure
Capricorn Caves proved to be a wonderful campsite for wildlife - loads of kangaroos and wallabies, an echidna that was just snuffling around in the recently laid hay mulch in the garden beds around the toilet block and joy of joys for our animal boy, a few green tree frogs by the water tank next to our campsite. Matthew knows that you must have wet hands to handle a tree frog but as soon as he was in his hands the frog proceeded to climb up Matthew, just as if he was a tree and very comfortably stayed there. The caves however were disappointing if you have ever been to Jenolan, but they did have cute little bent wing bats which are only the size of an adult hand and I, at first thought were butterflies!! We also got to leave the cave through a very tight zig zag tunnel by candle light and the guide met us on the outside - so there was a bit of adventure for all of us. It was a great stop.
