Lights, Camera, Action!

Well day 2 was a blast. we crammed the whole of LA sightseeing into 8 hours and we were shattered.

Not content with doing prepackaged tours and guides we decided to do it ourself on public transport.

Places visited: The Valley, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Venice Beach.

LA is huge and all the tourist spots are spread out. First visit was to the VAlley. This was in error as we got off the Metro at the wrong stop but it is safe to say we didnt see much so got back on. Next stop was Hollywood. We walked along Hollywood Blvd over all the stars in the pavements. They really do go on for ever on both sides of the street. We went for a look at Mans Theatre where there were lots of people dressed up as the famous people and standing by the stars onthe pavement. Then we got the bus and headed to Beverly Hills. we walked up Rodeo Drive, took a picture of the hotel in Pretty Women and window shopped in the mega expensive stores.

Famous people sighted: Zero. However if look a likes count we spied a Prince Willian and Kate Middleton look a likes but Scott says they dont count. Plus I think I saw Audreina and Justin Bobby from the MTV programme The HIlls but Scott wasnt looking so also says it doesnt count.

After the wealthy sights we headed to Santa Monica Beach and then Venice Beach which were fab. Large beutiful blonde sand beaches and clear blue sea. It was the all American beach dream. On Venice beach there is an area called Muscle Beach. Hopeful in the thought that I could get my guns out I was disapointed to find that no one was working out :(

After an exhausting 8 hours sightseeing we headed back to the hotel on public transport.

Meals: I ate Mac n Cheese and Scotty had pasta - not very American of us.

We were in bed by 9pm which is not very rock n roll but we were shattered.

Heading off now to San Diego in our hire car. We are going to stop off in OC for lunch I am very excited.
