Hello everyone.

We have arrived in Lalaland after a mammoth 24hrs travelling.

Weather is fab at around 16 degrees. It is very strange to see christmas tress in the sunshine.

After an eye opening journey on the Metro from LAX to Downtown LA (there is a reason the metro isn't mentioned in the guidebooks - they don't want people to use it) we made it to our hotel which is perfect.

Accommodation - Hostel called STAY. Very clean and modern and has a flat screen TV in the room for watching all the American soaps - bonus. So far I have watched a soap which had the blonde twin from Sweet Valley High and one of the twins from Sister Sister in it.

People - So far we have met a lot of 'crazies' but it could just be the areas that we have visited. The man at the begining (and end) of Pretty Woman pretty much sums them up. "Whats's your dream? Everyone in LA has a dream". There was a blind man singing and dancing on the Metro which was very entertaining.

Famous People - Zero but we are on the look out.

Films watched - Hancock, Mama Mia, Kung Fo Panda.

Food - We ate in an American diner and my meal was actually served in a basket. Authentic all the way.

Tomorrow we are going to visit Hollywood, Sunset Boulevard, and Venice Beach.
