And then it was back to Queenstown day !!!!! I already decided I wanted to do the Kawarau Bridge Bungyjump this time, so felt a bit nervous when I woke up. We stopped in Wanaka for couple of hours, just walked around tonw with some girls (and making funny photo's using the automatic timer mode)before heading towards QT. Some people already did a skydive in Wanaka in the morning. We are so lucky with the weather, we can do all the things we want, the bus behind us had the s***ty weather all the time). But because of that I was the only one doing the bungyjump ! Watched an introductory movie fisrt, my hands were really shaky and wet.... ! Booked my jump, and walked up to the bridge. Wow, I did it ! It was kinda weird, it was pretty scary, and you can see that on my DVD, but it was not as scary as I expected. But the moment you jump off.....f*** !!!! You fall down sooooo fast, and when the bungycord pulls you up again you lose all orientation, you just realize that you survived the jump.I just jumped at three, fell down and......yihaaa ! Was supposed to touch the water, but missed it, proabbly jumped a bit too far. But man, it's awesome. Well, it really takes a while before you actually understand what you did, it';s all so fast. Bought the photo's and the DVD, so take a look ! And off to good old Queenstown. Feels familiar and strange at the same time. Same place, but different people. Booked into Discovery Lodge, everybody dressed up and went for very good curry group meal at Bombay Palace. Off to Buffalo Club afterwards, the start of a big night out. The group got smaller and smaller, and we ended up looking for bars with just a couple of people. I thought i dind't drink that much, but realized this morning thatforgot about the teapots full of shots and the Jagerbombs that Karlyn bought us. Not good. Well, got back in the hostel at 4.15. Een erg dronken K achterlatend in zijn minivan, man, hij was echt helelaam lam en besloot in de bus te slapen. Oooooh, die gast is echt niet te geloven. Ik was eigenlijk gewoon annoyed, sjeessss. Best leuk, wat drinken op een avond uit, maar hij drinkt zich echt helemaal lam en loopt dan maar wat rond te zwalken. Zucht. Vond hem ineens niet meer zo errug leuk en aardig. En maakte me ook wel zorgen om hem..da's nog het meest irritant. Dat je je zorgen maakt om iemand die het misschien niet eens kan schelen dat je er bent. Heb vanmorgen toch maar een smsje gestuurd om te vragen of ie niet was weggesleept in zijn eigen bus. En dat ik me daar niet druk om zou moeten maken, maar ja, hij kent me, dus. En kreeg gelukkig snel antwoord dat ie ok was. Pfff. Misschien heel stom, maar ja, het kan mij wel wat schelen. Lovely weather today, slept till about 11.30, took a shower and went for a stroll though QT, showing Mona, who is planning to stay here fro a while around. Blue skies and sunny !Less positive: I was supposed to go volunteering in the North Island in November in exchange for food and accomodation, Was really looking forward to that. But got an email that they changed their policies,ánd now you can only volunteer with a work permit. Damn ! I was really really disappointed and I still am, beacuse it was a great way to save money and do something I realy wanted to do. So now I don;t have clue where I;'m going from here. I haven't heard back from the interveiw, hope to hear anything Monday or Tuesday. Will catch the bus to ChCh on Tuesday, and see from there. See ya !!!!! Miss you all, but still enjoy being in NZ big time !
