Thursday 29 July
Ho hum ! the same routine – swim in the pool, brekkie, a bit of fishing. Dave and Jack went back into town to get the parts for the van that had to be ordered from Perth. We also needed more water supply! As there is nothing out here where we are. On rations! Lolol Just need it really to wash the salt off when you come out of the sea and washing up. Plenty of drinking water in bottles though.
Liam and I again went to the beach for a swim in the rockpool at low tide. Saw some turtles poking their heads out ! was lovely.....also saw the fish! Pity cant catch one!
With the campfire lit and a full tummy of food,Jack and Liam had collected rocks to make an arena for our hermit crab race!! Yep! A hermit crab race! Was heaps of fun! Liams won the most! We kept replacing them too. So not always the same ones! Lololol Bed was early again.... fresh air just tires you out!
Friday 30 July
A different routine today – had brekkie first! Hahahahahah yeh funny..... THEN a swim and more fishing. Dave was under the van for an hour fixing the axles. Cross fingers !!! probably our last bumpy road with the van Im thinking! Lunch. Dave and Jack more fishing. Said they would only be ½ an hour.... must be at least 1 ½ by now! Lets hope for fish for tea!!!!
Oh and in case anyone is wondering.- there are no toilets here either! So spade and paper and off you go! Even Liam likes this part and wants to come with you to dig your hole! lolol
................. Well yes! Dave and Jack had a good time fishing. Caught 3 x 30cm rock cods but put them back as under size. Nearly had a big one! ( heard that before! )
Saturday 31 July
Our last day at Quondong Point! Was very windy and blowy in the night! Had a dingo visit us again! This time he didn’t take anything! The other night he took a plastic bag with a handreel and bait in it that was left under the van!
AND GUESS WHAT!! Dave finally caught a decent fish! A goldspotted rock cod. Photos to come! He did catch some smaller ones but returned them to sea to get bigger! Lolol Poor Jack hasn’t had a nibble yet! Lost a few lures though... He looks like he is having fun with it anyway.
So,,,, I guess it is tidy up and pack up time.... off to Broome Vacation Village for some luxury R and R!
Sunday 1 August
Well here we are in Broome Caravan park..... all showered! Nice and clean! All the beds and clothes are washed! Headed off early this morning as we had enough of the wind! Blowing gales in the night it was! Dave moved the car around 2am and repegged all the ropes for the annex. Sure it was going to blow away. Felt like we were on a boat on a rough sea!
So with little sleep we packed up and headed out getting in the park around 10am. Concrete slab, ensuite toilet and shower! We are in a quiet area of the park so no road noise or anything. So hopefully a nice sleep tonight.!
By the way, the fish was beautiful..... sweet .... wish there was more! Lololol maybe next time.
So just signing off on blog again coz I am going to order pizza for tea!
