Monday 2 August Our first real day in Broome – just had a look around by car at Guanthamene point where the Lighthouse keeper made a pool in the rocks for his wife because it helped her arthritis – this was back in the pearl lugger days here in Broome. Couldnt find any of those footprints though. The tide wasn’t low enough....... Looked around the Port of Broome, drove around to Cable Beach – so white! Thursday 29 July Ho hum ! the same routine – swim in the pool, brekkie, a bit of fishing. Dave and Jack went back into town to get the parts for the van that had to be ordered from Perth. Friday 23 July HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD! Well, off we go from Marys Pool! What a lovely spot- nice to chill out. Sooooo where next..... Fitzroy Crossing........... mmmmmmmm what can we say about this place. Was a really strange place of lots of new houses being built,,,,,, even the supermarket was getting rebuilt after a fire went through it.!!!! Yes ,,,, imagine runs wild.... The supermarket is now in the high school gymnasium....!!!!! lolol really really weird...
