G'day from down under :)
Well where to start... Yesterday we caught the ferry into sydney from manly and the view was incredible It was a who could spot the harbour bridge first ;) cheeky little competition! The sky was slightly cloudy so there was a chilly breeze, however when we reached circular quay harbour the sun was shining and the temperature rose to 26 degrees! We walked to the sydney opera house and took pictures of us standing in front.. All of the tourists were doing the same (all fighting for a spot!) - felt like we were in Thailand rather than aus as there were so many Asians! The opera house looked very impressive from the outside - however we didn't go in so we can't say what it's like inside :p. We then walked through the botanical gardens which were very pretty and all of the flowers are carefully planted to create a tranquil atmosphere! (Although the tropical plant house was closed so we couldn't see them :(...) - have to say there were some pretty funny statues within the gardens ;). After that we ventured to centre point tower (walking everywhere of course...typical backpacking style) we got the lift up the tower to the main viewing area which was so high up the view was mind blowing!! (Have many pictures to come!) Me and Jess then decided as the sun was shining to catch the bus to the famous BONDI BEACH :D! We arrived and the beach looked just like we had imagined.. Miles of golden sand and ice blue water (which was actually pretty cold as it was nearly 5pm!) the surf was pretty good.. Lots of very good looking guys in the water! - not to mention having many pictures taken next to the famous lifeguard tower! Actually saw their little blue cart in action! :)
All in all a very good day in sydney and bondi :)
P.S. had a lovely piece of steak for dinner too!
Lots of love to you all,
Charlie and Jess xxx
