Hi All
Sorry the entries have been so intermittent.
This is due to technical and human factors beyond my control.
Also, internet cafes are few and far between and very expensive.
Today is our third day at Windermere in the Lakes District and I
cannot shake the virus. It is a stunning place but cold like everywhere.
But not raining.
We have met some great people so far-fellow travellers, waiters and waitresses
and owners of B&B's.
Did the Beatrix Potter tourist thing yesterday.
We only stayed one night in Edinburgh due to it being a bank holiday
and not much accommodation available.
The castle is pretty impressive, was probably about five degrees when we were there.
Scottish girls are tough...there was a bridal party and the girls were wearing really
flimsy and bare outfits. I was chilled to the bone with three layers on.
Only paid lip service to Glasgow due to lack of time. Drove along one side of Loch Lomond and had lunch at a little cafe then did a bit of circle through the city.
Will have to visit Scotland one day!!
Heading to Liverpool tomorrow and will decide if we stay there or move on.
Still have a lot to see and have to be at Heathrow on the 15th for a flight to Ireland.
Thats if the air space is open of course!!!
