We left Singapore, at 2am, for Dubai with a 12hour wait, then Gatwick arriving at 10:30pm same day due to time difference on the 24th. This was better than Paris on Monday morning. Hired car on Anzac Day and drove north past London to Cambridge.

Went to afternoon service ot the Kings College and listened to their famous chior performing as well. Strolled around the precinct and absorbed the atmosphere. Moved on yo Uffington, a B&B for the night, situated just outside Stamford.

Drove to York and stayed in a Travelodge Motel in the city centre. Next morning was checking out York Minster which caused us to get involved in a military commemoration service. We also looked at the Nation Rail Museum seeing some of the old trains and royal carriages, including Queen Victoria's. From there we went to Whitby.

No Heartbeat tour because it is out of season, so will do it by self-drive I think.

We have both been sick due to aircon at Singapore and heat in the UK which puts me at the doctors, this morning, in Whitby. Should be in Edinburgh in a couple of Days.
