Ulan Ude to Vlad Day 7

Reasonable ride down to Vlad quite long adds up to about 520 miles, luckily mostly tarmac occasional dirt section but nothing more than 1 or 2 miles. Easy peasy really well for me anyway Col's still suffering so he found it quite difficult but survived it in the end. It seems the dreaded bug is not gong to catch me after all it's symptoms are a bit like a couple I've caught over the years in S Korea so perhaps I've built up a level of immunity. We've finally got rid of the mosquitoes but Vlad is still pretty humid, speed cops all over the place particularly on the fast ride in, luckily we're pretty experienced now so they are finding it harder to pick us up. Hotel Vlad is pretty tatty it's an old style soviet place that's been tarted up luckily they run free wifi so it's not too bad, you have to watch the bar bills though at 250 dib dobs a pint it starts to add up after the fifth or sixth pint. The girls as usual are turned out immaculately they all look like models, amazing. We grab a steak and chips meal along with a fantastic ice cream with raspberry syrup which was the best I've ever tasted, then collapse into bed.
